USS ARCHERFISH SS/AGSS311

REUNION INFORMATION

The dates for the 2007 USS ARCHERFISH SS/AGSS311 Reunion have been set. The Reunion will be held at the Ramada Express Hotel & Casino, Laughlin, Nevada from October 21 to 24, 2007.

The room rates are $18.00 plus 9% tax per night. We have made arrangements for rates for early arrivals or stay over guests as follows:

Thursday, October 25 $18.00 plus 9% tax

Friday, October 19 & 26 $49.00 plus 9% tax

Saturday October 20 & 27 $55.00 plus 9% tax

Room reservations must be made by calling the Ramada Express at (800) 243-6846 * seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. pacific time. You must ask for Code Number 11423. Reservations must be made prior to October 3, 2007 in order to receive the ARCHERFISH rate. * CORRECTED PHONE NUMBER 09/30/06.

NOTE: The Ramada Express is changing their name, effecive June 30, 2007 to Tropicana Express. This is only a name change. All contact other contact info, phone numbers, etc. remain the same. (posted 6/21/07)

There are 9 golf courses in the Laughlin area, and if anyone is interested in playing golf, please let me know. That way we can get you all together and pick a course to set up tee times and etc.

Are you planning on coming early or staying after the Reunion. There is a lot to see and do in the Laughlin area. Here are a few locations that can be a 1 or 2 day trip, using Laughlin as your homebase:
Oatman, Arizona - 25mi - Historic mining ghost town on old Rt. 66
Lake Havasu City, Arizona - 68mi - London Bridge and Lake Havasu
Lake Mead - 68mi - Fishing, boating and water sports
Hoover (Boulder) Dam - 78mi - Historic Colorado River dam
Las Vegas, Nevada - 90mi - Las Vegas, need we say more!
Grand Canyon National Park - 203mi - Must see if you've never been there!
Zion National Park - 251mi - Easy to get to via short diversion off I15.
Bryce Canyon National Park - 358mi - Off the "beaten path" but worth the trip.

Other places to visit "in the area" if you have the time:
Death Valley, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Monument Valley, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Oak Creek Canyon (AZ), Historic Rt 66 - Kingman, AZ to Seligman, AZ, Grand Canyon Caverns, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Indian country and historic sites.
